Documentation / manual
Attention: At the moment, the manuals are only sparsely available in English. (The German version is complete). Please consult the mailinglist if you need help.
These are the English online-manuals for the Geopublishing Software. The manual is divided into three main parts:
AtlasViewer - Using the atlas
The AtlasViewer-component presents your atlas to the end-user. Hence the AtlasViewer manual is a manual for all atlases created with Geopublisher. PDF version of this manual can be downloaded in German, English and French.
Geopublisher - The creation of multimedia atlases
Geopublisher facilitates the creation of digital multimedia atlases that can be distributed online and offline. It is an autoring system that supports you with data-management, translations, styling, layout and publication of your atlas. You can import different types of geo-data, tables or multimedia and compile it to an interactive cartography. The Geopublisher manual describes all functions of the software. For trainings contact Wikisquare.
Additionally you may watch this 5-minute video tutorial which explains the first steps when creating an atlas.
AtlasStyler - Simply colored maps!
AtlasStyler is an application to create cartographic styling rules for geodata simply with your mouse. The ruels are save in the OGC SymbologyEncoding format. AtlasStyler is is an integrated part of Geopublisher. In case you need an easy-to-use SLD/SE editor for other purposes (z.B. for an OGC WMS like Geoserver or Mapserver), we also offer you this component as a stand-alone application. The AtlasStyler manual describes the AtlasStyler's funtions - no matter if you are using it from inside Geopublishers or an a stand-alone application.
Further more we would like to point you to the AtlasStyler SLD labeling tutorial. It comes with demo data and describes step-by-step how to do nice labelling with SLD.
